'Out There'
Gary Bell is an Australian artist and writer who illustrates and records the Australian lifestyle and heritage in pen and ink drawings, paintings, publications and photographs.
He paid more attention to traditional Australian Hotels (pubs) during the lead-up to the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 when many liquor licences from old NSW country pubs were being sold and exploited to capitalize on the Olympic Games. Gary undertook to preserve the history and presence of some of our older 'Aussie Pubs'.
After producing three Australian historic pub sketchbooks and a number of old pub paintings Gary has expanded his art to cover more of remote Australia, the Australian heritage and unique lifestyle.
